It is with acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Geoffrey Muchobia M’Mborothi of Machaku Village, Kianjai Location, Tigania West Sub County, Meru County.

Son of the late M’Mborothi M’Ataya and the late Kathambi Ciabaituriu M’Mborothi. Step son to the late Cialingeera and the late Ciarukunga M’Mborothi. Loving husband to Mrs. Janet Gacheri Muchobia formerly of KNH. Doting father to Caroline Nkirote (Brookside) and Maj. Mohamed Juma (KDF), Titus Kirimi (HELB) and Nicholas Kinyua (Walk With Me Consulting Ltd). Grandfather to Jillo Jaffar and Samira Kendi. Brother to Kairu Mbwiria, Festus and Kajuju Nguru, Alice Nkaithiori, the late Simon Kaumbura, Lucy Nchulubi, Mwenda and Jane. Half-brother to Thambura, Thiauru, Mwingirwa, Mwanjilu, Karuugira and Mwakithii among others.

Brother in law to the late Martha Karambu, Mary Kalayu, Betty and Jeremiah Kimiri, Sheila and Hon. Dr. John Kanyuithia Mutunga, M.P Tigania West, Charity and Dr. Stephen Laititi (KeMU), Lucy and Julius Muthee (KPLC). Uncle to James and Margaret Murithi, Florence Kaimuri, George Muriungi, Eunice Karambu, Moses Ntongai, Doris Mwendwa, Anne Gacheri, Agnes Nkatha, Kananu, Kainga, Murithi, Felix and Catherine Kimathi, Amos and Purity Muthomi, Charity Makena, Jackson Mwiti, Jane Kananu, Morris and Frida Bariu, Francis and Winnie Mwangangi, Imani Kanario, Muriki, Brian Bundi, Clive Muthomi, Emma Kajuju, Diana Nkatha, Dr. Mervyn Mutwiri, Kelvin Koome, Lindsy Karimi, Faith Kamathi, Purity Nkatha and Gitonga Muthee.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his residence at Mwiyoko estate and Machaku village for funeral arrangements.

There will be prayer meetings from Monday 30th November to Wednesday 2nd December 2020 at Kariokor Methodist Church from 5.00PM to be conducted under strict adherence to COVID19 protocols.

The Funeral Service will be held at MCK Amiraki Church Kianjai, on Friday 4th December 2020 at 11.00 AM. He will later on be laid to rest at his home in Machaku Village home at 2.00PM.
