George Wanderi Kabau
17th January, 1990 — 10th March, 2019
‘Gone but will never be forgotten’
It has been two years since you unexpectedly departed from us on the nasty morning of 10th March 2019, in the ill-fated Ethiopian Airline Flight ET 302 crash. Nonetheless, we will forever cherish and treasure the beautiful memories of your love, kindness and companionship.
An abundant and illustrious life does not require the length of time to manifest itself. So was your immeasurable and incomparable life, George. You were a shooting star, and brightly and radiantly you shone in so many ways.
It was with this knowledge that we chose to regard the tragic events of 10th March 2019 as being a manifestation of God’s will, in which you transitioned from this troubled world, and went to our heavenly abode.
Engineer, we miss your humorous persona, and recall with nostalgia your strength of character and well-rounded approach to life’s opportunities and predicaments. We are extremely proud of the fight that you fought, finished and won.
In the words of old Irish blessings, we pray that: may the road rise up to meet you; may the wind be always at your back; may the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields, and, until we meet again; may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
George, may God’s perpetual light always shine upon you, as you keep watching over us. Our love for you is eternal, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
From your loving family.
Forever in our hearts brother ❤️
