It, is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Gogo Maria Mokicho Kimeliel of Kaptagat Settlement Scheme Plot No. 118 (Haraka Dairy Village).

Daughter of the late Cheptugen Sirwanei and the late Kabon Cheptugen of Kamogich Location, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Wife of the late Kimeliel Nge’tuny of Kabundotich (Kapteto Family, Kamoi Clan). Co-wife of the late Soti Kimeliel. Beloved Mother of Tamurei, Josephine, Taplilei, the late Paulina, Maria, Benjamin the late Tamining, Petrolina, John, Magdaline, Francis, the late Barnaba, the late Peter and the late Catherine. Sister of Cherono (Kikono), Chepkurui (Kipolmer), Chemitei (Somongi), Nyekwese (Cherangany), Mokicho (Kamutul), Mokicho (Kaparngoror).

Sister-in-law of the late Cheptoo Ngetu’ny, Kimoi Kapchesakari (Kaptagat), Chemwolo Ng’etuny (Chepkosom), Kimoi Kibor Kapchesundo (Kaptarkok).

Mother-in-law of Ann, Josephine, Hellen, the late Regina and Leah. Aunty of many. She was blessed with several Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a funds drive to offset funeral expenses on Sunday 13th July, 2025 at home Kaptagat Settlement Scheme – Haraka dairy from 2.00pm.

The Cortege leaves Plateau Mission Hospital on Monday 14th July, 2025 for an overnight vigil at her home Haraka dairy. Funeral service and burial will e held on Tuesday I 5th July, 2025 at their farm Kaptagat Settlement Scheme, Plot No 118, Haraka dairy village,Ainabkoi Sub-county Uasin Gishu County from 10.00am.
