We announce the death of Mrs. Grace Wanjiru Mbugua (Mwalimu) of Kangaru, Embu
on Saturday 13 August 2016 after a short illness.
Daughter of the late Githua wa Kimani and the late Wairimu Githua of Ndathiini, Githunguri. Sister of the late Ngonyo, late Nyokabi,
the late Josephat Kimani and the late Titus Mbugua. Loving wife of the late Samuel Mbugua Kimani. Sister-in-law of the late Mary
Wanjiku Njau and the late Leah Wairimu. Devoted mother of Paul Kimani of Kangaru Embu, the late Timothy Githua, John Mwaura
Mbugua of Venus Tea Brokers Mombasa, Dr. Wariara Mbugua formerly of United Nations New York/Darfur, David Kinyanjui of
Kangaru Embu and Andrew Muriuki of Chase Consultants Nairobi. Mother-in-law of Mrs Mary Mwihaki Mbugua, Mrs Margaret
Njeri Mbugua and Mrs. Mary Wambui Muriuki. Doting grandmother of Angela Mukami (USA), Valerie Wanjiru (USA), Melanie
Wangui, (USA), Angela Wanjiru and Emmanuel Sogomo (USA), Samuel Mbugua and Naomi, Sharon Wanjiru, Kevin Mbugua and
Marie-Lina (France), Janet Mbugua-Ndichu of Citizen TV and Eddie Ndichu of KCB, Timothy Mbugua, Samantha (Nunu) Mazrui and
Steven Hemliech (USA), Mathew Mbugua and Michele Wanjiru, Maureen Muthoni and James Ng’ang’a. Great grandmother of Robyn,
Genesis, Ruby, Eliana, Ciiru, Asher, Chumba, Ethan and Senkai. Much loved auntie, teacher and friend to many.
Friends and family are holding meetings and prayers daily at her home in Kangaru, Embu at 6 p.m. and at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi
on Thursday and Friday 18 and 19 August 2016 at 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi on Tuesday
23 August 2016 at 10.00 a.m.
The cortege will leave Gakwegori Funeral Home, Embu at 8.30 a.m. for the church service at 10.30 a.m. at ACK St. Paul’s Cathedral
Embu on Thursday 25 August 2016 followed by interment at her home in Kangaru, Embu.
