We graciously announce the falling asleep of Matriarch Helena Omolo Awich.

Wife of the late Fred Awich Oronga. Daughter of the late Gogo Ayado of Nyakach Kadiang’a and the late Adhiambo Adeny of Seme Kakelo.

Mother of Hezekiah Gogo, Pastor Nerea Aluoch,Walter Ojwang, Grace Anyango, Solomon Ouma, Phoebe Adhiambo Adeny, Damaris Atieno, Elizabeth Achieng, Yusto Abuor, and the late James Odede.

Sister to Isdora Abongo, and Mwalimu Francis Owiti Gogo. She was predeceased by her siblings Nyol, Mbeda, Odiko, Ongwa, Obuya, Dulo, Omolo, Dursila, Midogo, Ayada, Susana, Esther, Obunga, Oyucho and Ngode.

Mother-in-law to ldoniah Awich, the late Jairo Owino, Josephine Awich,the late Paul Juma, Margaret Ouma, the late Joshua Okango, the late Francis Aluengeh, the late Daniel Otugha, Mary Adhiambo, and Joan Awinja.

Grandmother to the late Beatrice Adhiambo, the late Fred, the late Christine Nelly Akinyi, the late Robert, Christine, Joann, Dr Mary, Dr Geoffrey, Paul, Pamela, Fredrick, Rennee Jay, the late Lilian Akoth, Linda, Michael, Agasnah, Efu, Thomas, Gerry, the late Esther Akinyi, Samuel, Monica, Dr Thomas Otieno Juma, Michael Ouma Juma, Bob Otieno Juma, Rose Aluoch, the late Hellen Ojenge, Linda, the late Fredrick, Flavia, Frida, Francis, Felix, Carolyn, the late Dr. Okango, the late Francis, Rachel, Steve, the late Christine, Hellen, Andrew, the late Fredrick, Jack, Nathan, Davis, Elizabeth,Eddah, Erick, Eve, James, Jacqueline, Fredrick, Webster, Weinsteina, Churchill, Wycliffe, Welt, Albert, the late baby Ingrid, Abigail, the late Fred, and Phillip. She leaves behind a nation of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Star Hospital Funeral Home on 30th June, 2022 at 3:00pm for an overnight stay at her home in Agoro, Nyakach. Burial will be on Friday 1st July, 2022 at Agoro, Nyakach Odeyo, Kisumu County at 3:30pm.
