Hellen Millicent Aol Achola (Nyar John)

 27th November 1949- 13th January 2018

We, The Achola Family, with a heavy heart and acceptance of God’s will, announce the death of our beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt & Grandmother, Hellen Millicent Aol Achola (formerly of Kianda School).

Daughter of the late John Aol Jasiru and Margaret Anyango Aol of Kogelo Rambo. Beloved wife of Professor Paul Puis Waw Achola of Alego Karapul, Siaya County (formerly of Kenyatta University and Catholic University). Daughter-in-law of the late Cornet Achola Ododa & the late Leonora Akumu. Sister of the late Roselyn Adhiambo & the late Samuel Adhola, Willis Oduor & Eunice Aol, William & Hellen Owino, Dick & Mary Omondi and Ben & Susan Jasiru.

Mother of George & Melissa, Crispin & Mercy, Mark & Munini, Eric, Irene & Bill Miseda and Cindy Robinson. Devoted and caring grandmother of Rachel, Schuyler, Nathan, Sean, Helen, Hera, Mich, Jeremy, Byron, Hawi, Frank, Austin and Eileen.

Friends and Family will be meeting at Professor Achola’s home in Alego Karapul, Siaya daily for prayers, remembrance and funeral planning.

There will be a fundraiser at the Nairobi Baptist Church, Ngong Road on Tuesday 23rd January 2018 from 5.30PM. Contributions can be made to Paybill No.228889. Account No. Your name.

There will also be a harambee at their home in Karapul, Siaya at 5:30PM Wednesday 24th January 2018.

A memorial mass will be held at Consolata Shrine, Westlands, Nairobi at 10:00AM on Wednesday 24th January 2018.

The funeral service will be held at St. Julians School, Siaya at 9:00AM on Saturday 27th followed by burial at her home in Alego Karapul, Siaya.
