Herbert Kariithi Macharia

We hereby wish to announce the passing on of our beloved Herbert Kariithi Macharia through a tragic road accident. He was an employee of the United Nations. Currently, he was based in Ethiopia. He was from Karen in Nairobi and from Ngutu Location, Kaheta Village, Mathioya Constituency in Murang’a County.

He was the son of the late Jadiel Macharia Kariithi and the late Joan Njeri Macharia.

Beloved husband of Pelaghia Muthoni (Plagia). Father of Jadiel Macharia, Evelyn Njeri Macharia, Joe Maina, Stella Njeri Maina.

Sibling to Manasseh Ruguaro, John Mwangi, Benjamin Kubai (Benisa), Mercy Nyambura.

He was a grandfather of Tazio Kariithi, Taji Waweru.

Meetings are being held everyday at All Saints Cathedral from 1st of December to Sth of December 2025 and also at his residence in Karen.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday the 7th of December 2025 at his residence in Karen at 3.00 pm.

The cortege leaves KU Refferal Funeral Home on Tuesday 9th December 2025 for burial at Matunda Village, Kakuzi, Murang’a County.
