Hiram Wachira Waweru

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Hiram Wachira Waweru, on 28th February, 2026.

Son of late Geoffrey Waweru Gathondu and the late Lydia Wangui of Mbari ya Njora, Tumutumu.

Beloved husband of the late Teresa Wamaitha Waciira. Loving father of Antony Waweru & Faith Wathoni, Lydia Wangui, Anne Waciira, Joseph Njoroge, and Jacinta Waruguru.

Brother of Agnes Mungara, Robert Muriithi, Alice Mwihaki, Gacheche Waweru, Nancy Kabuchi, Kamau Waweru, James Guthua, and the late Elizabeth Wanjira. Brother in law of the late Leonard Mwangi, the late Peter Wanyoike, Beatrice Mbaire, Conny Wanjiku, Salome Wairimu, Dr. Joseph Ruminjo, Lucy Waithera, Patrick Ngugi, Michael Nyamu and Raphael Muchina.

Grandfather of Abigail, Tessa, Andrew, Aaron and Sophie.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his residence.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Saturday, 7th March 2026 at 9 00 am. Requiem Mass follows at 11.00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Serenity Road, then burial at Langata Cemetery at 2.00 pm.
