We the Mwongo family wish to announce the passing away of our beloved Patriarch “Mzee” on August 12 2019. He was an Ex M.P. of Nyambene South.

Husband of the Late Joyce Mwari Mwongo. Father of late John Muriungi, Rose Simani, Morris Mithika, Edward Mugambi, Richard Mururu, Kathleen Kagwiria and Antony Mwenda. Father-in-law of Nicholas Simani, Mary Nkatha, Sylvia Kagwiria, Ndinda June, Philip Kisia and the late Jane Kanario.

Grandfather of Makena and Tito, Shiverenje and Shiko, Muchiri, Gacheri. Kendi, Kaberia, Mwiti, Muriithi, Mukami, Mutile, Mumo, Khazalwa, Lyagamula, Mweteri, Muthuri,Aron, Brian and Kinya. Great grandfather of Sulwe and Hera, Ayanna and Tshazi. He was a Mentor, Uncle, Advisor, Counselor and guide to many.

The funeral service will be held at Kiguchwa Methodist Church, Meru on 27th August 2019 and thereafter “Mzee” will be laid to rest at his Thanantu Farm, Kiguchwa.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Thanantu Farm home in Kiguchwa location, Meru County. There will be meetings at All Saints Cathedral on 19, 21, 22 August 2019 from 5.30 pm. All are welcome to pay their last respects to this great leader of Meru.
