Hon. Paul Karuga Koinange

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden demise of the Member of Parliament for Kiambaa Constituency, Hon. Paul Karuga Koinange where he served as the Member Parliament for Kiambaa Constituency from March 2013 until his demise.

Son to the Late Noah Karuga Koinange and the Late Josephine Muthoni Karuga. The Late Hon. Koinange was initially married to June Koinange and later he re-married Mary Koinange. He was a loving father to Muthoni Koinange, Karuga Koinange and Waitherero Koinange, Michelle Koinange and David Koinange. He was a brother to Fred Mbiyu (Florida, USA),  Nicholas Koinange (Texas, USA), Machua Koinange, Anastasia Wanjiru (Maryland, USA) and Ng’endo Machua.

He was the Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security and previously a member of the Departmental Committee on Health. He was staunch Christian having chaired the Annual National Prayer Breakfast Committee and co. chaired the Bunge Christian Fellowship. The Late Hon. Koinange was a respected statesman and experienced negotiator. He will be remembered for his dedicated and diligent service to his constituents and the nation at large.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Saturday, April 3rd 2021 at 10am. The Church Service and the interment will take place at his Kiambaa home. Due to the recent Presidential Proclamation relating to the Covid – 19 Pandemic, the funeral programme will be strictly held in accordance with Ministry of Health protocols on COVID-19. In  this respect only family and close friends will access the family home.
