Irene Nyakairu Mwangi Gakomongi

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Nyakairu Mwangi Gakomongi, on 18/10/2022 at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital, after short illness.

Daughter of the late Pharis Muigai Mwangi and the late Lillian Kamwende Muigai of Githumu – Kioru Village.

Wife to Fredrick Gakomongi of Gathera Village – Muranga. A doting mother to Lilian Wanjiku Gakomongi, Caroline Kamwende Gakomongi, Moses Thiongo Gakomongi, Hellen Wangechi Karuri, Mary Wangari Gakomongi and Gilbert Thuo Ngomi.

Grandmother to Phoebe Nyakairu Thiongo,Theo Gakomongi Thiongo, Alvin Ngomi Thuo, Adrian Gakomongi Thuo.

Sister to the late James Mwangi, Jane Wahuga (Githumu), Margret Wanjiru Gaitho (Kiambu), Grace Wairimu Karobia (Githumu) and Alice Njeri Gikera (Kanjai – Githunguri). A loving aunt and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at family home in Nairobi Marurui Home for burial arrangement at 2.00pm daily.
