Son of Peter Wafula Masai Khang’ati and Julia Wakukha (all deceased). Stepson to the late Tecta Nafuna. Son in-law to Benerd Echesa and the late Domtila Kulundu. Loving husband of Praxides Mwenya. Father of Nigel Wafula, Ian Masai, Emmanuel Khang’ati, Fadhili Manda and Marvel Otiato.

Brother to Agnetta Wasolo, the late Canon David Khang’ati, the tate Morris Mulupi, Professor Wafula Masai, Hon. Alfred Khang’ati, Jamin Masai, Wanda Wafula, Catherine Wamatwa (USA), Josephine Wanyonyi, Magdalene Chemwa, Sarah Walutsachi, the late Joshua Nyongesa and the late John Wanami.
