It’s with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of James Gatharia Michugu following a sudden illness.

Son of the late Michugu Gatharia and the late Wanjiku Gicharu. Husband of the late Grace Waitherero and Loise Mweru. Brother of Gicharu, the late Kamau, the late Rahab Wanjiru Njoroge (Kabiri) and Geoffrey Njuguna. Father of John Thige, Micugu Wagatharia, Loise Wanjiku, the late Lawrence Ngigi, William Ndung’u, Irene Murugi Neangsa, Joyce Waithira, John Michugu, and Lawrence Ngigi. Grandfather of James Njenga, Kevin Kihara, Sally Wanjiru, Yvonne Waitherero Micugu Njenga Micugu, Muchene Micugu, Faith Waitherero, Hope Mere, Love Wanjiku, Stephanie and Arieh Nga’ng’a. Great grandfather of Armen! Gathoni Gtau and Liam Micugu Muchene.

The cortege will leave Uphome Funeral Home, Nyambari, Lari at 10.00am on Friday 18th, Jan 2019 for funeral service at family farm Githirioni Gathaiti.
