Joseph Gikonyo Wanjohi (Wanjau)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joseph Gikonyo Wanjohi (alias Wanjau).

Son of the late Robert Wanjohi Gikonyo and the late Elizabeth Gacambi Wanjohi. Husband of Lucy Wamucii Gikonyo. Father of Margaret Wanjiru Mburu (Mairosinya), Paul Mwangi (Mairo-luya), the late Charles Gakuha, Mary Wangechi Muchangi (Karatina), Grace Kagure Mwathe (Molo), Moses Njogu (Gilgil), Esther Muthoni Githinji (Gilgil), John Kamangu (Gilgil), Ann Wangui Kahiga (Nairobi) and Janet Waithera Maina (Nyeri). Brother of Grace Kagure, Benson Njagi, Joyce Kagure, Amos Mathenge, Wanjira Ndegwa among others. Brother-in-law of David Kago, John Kamangu and Jacinta Nyawira. Grandfather and great-grandfather to many.

Family and relatives are meeting daily at Amity Hotel Gilgil as from 6.30pm and his Salama, Nyahururu home for prayers arid burial preparations.

The cortege leaves Nyahururu Referral Hospital Mortuary on Friday 18/01/2019 at 8.00am. Thereafter, funeral mass and burial will be held at his home in Salama Nyahururu.
