James Gilbert Arogo

 (1931 – 2019)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear father Mzee James Gilbert Arogo on 22nd August, 2019.

Son of Nyatwanga and Ute Nyagiro of Kotieno Kochich, Kayoo Village; Brother of Oliech, Omuono, Adero and Onuonga. Loving Husband of Esther Arogo, the late Teresa Arogo, the late Rose Arogo and Lynette Arogo. Father of the late Hilda, Michael, Jane, Rebecca, Lawrence, George, Alice and Fred (Tanzania); Philip (Canada), Alexander, Mary, Jacinta, Grace (Late), Juma and David; the late Tom, Paddy, Vera and Oyugi; Irene, Teddy and Felix; the late Nancy, Vicky (UK), Nelly and Joyce. Father-in-law of Pamela, Maurice, Joyce, Carolyne, Dr. Sule, Mary (Tanzania), Karen (Canada), Achieng, Jorum, Lucy, Richard, Peter and Reagan.

Doting Grandfather of Omondi; Louise, Charles and Alvin (Canada); Ian, Beverly, Esther, Tony, Emmanuel, Fidel, Daniel, Jayden, Emily and Lucy; Ivan, EI-Sheba and Josephine (all Canada); Terry, Angela, Anthony, Noah and Ezekiel; Barbara, Mark, Norah and lan; Melvin, Melanie, Triza, Samantha, Bilal, Gracie, Mariah and Onyango; Laura, David, Nicole, Leon, Dwayne and Kewell.

Family and friends are invited for fundraising and funeral arrangements at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi on Thursday, 29th August, 2019 starting at 5.30pm. Contributions towards funeral expenses can also be channeled to Pay Bill No: (998518), Account No: (Your Name).

The cortege will leave Oyugis/Matata Hospital Mortuary on Friday 6th September, 2019 at 9.00am followed by service and burial at his rural home on Saturday 7th September, 2019.
