Joan Amunga Attika

It is by the will of God that we announce the passing on of Joan Amunga Attika, after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the wife of the late Esau Omukuba Attika. Mama is survived by her sons Charles Nyende Attika and Naftali Swaka Attika, siblings Zipporah, Mary, Irene, Reuben, Margaret, Silas, William, Hezekiel, Isaac, Jessica, Eli, Samson, Esther and Rosebella, mother-in-law of Millicent, Yunia, Ruth and Wilson Khaniri, grandmother of Esau, Joan (Mum), Joy, Freddie, Jamoe, Tyra, Maureen, Nicole, Tiffany, Renee, Mason, Joan, Shawn, Buju and many others. She was the sister-in-law of Mzee Zebeddee Attika, the late Suzy, Lily, Sophia, Emily, Judith, Wycliffe and Joyce. She is fondly remembered by her families, the Attika’s, Muluka’s, Nandwa’s, Kadima’s, Anene’s, Kubati’s, Masinde’s, Omusula’s and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents James Kubati and Fridah Were, children Janet Khaniri, Fredrick, Shadrack and Fridah, siblings Dorice, Rhoda and Meshack.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Mutemesi village, Makunga.

A fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 27th August 2019 from 5pm at the Railway Club, Nairobi and at her home in Makunga, Kakamega County from 2pm on Wednesday, 28th August, 2019.

The cortege will leave Kakamega County Referral Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 29th August, 2019 at 11.30 am for church services at ACK All Saints Mushililie Upendo Parish, Makunga from 12 noon and on Friday 30th August at her home from 2:00pm.

Mama will be laid to rest on 31st August, 2019 at her home in Mutemesi village, Makunga.
