James Ng’ethe Mwathi

 (1958 – 2019)

 It is with humble acceptance that we announce the sudden passing of James Ng’ethe Mwathi on 24th October 2019.

Son of the late Dr. Samson Nathan Mwathi and of Rahab Njambi Mwathi. Son-in-law of the late Dr. Lewis Henry Kahare Ngatia and the late Rosemary Karunga Ngatia. Husband of the late Sheila Waruguru Ng’ethe. Father of Patricia Njambi Ng’ethe, Tracy Nyaguthii Ng’ethe and Samson Mwathi Ng’ethe. Brother of the late John Ngugi Mwathi, the late Peter Ngure Mwathi, David Mbugua Mwathi, and Agnes Nyaguthii Mwathi Watatua.

Brother-in-law of the late Margaret Nyanjugu Mwathi, Nancy Wakuhi Mbugua, Arthur Watatua, Charles Ouattara, Martin Peter Kahare Ngatia, the late Joan Wanjugu Ngatia, BettyAnne Karimi Ngatia, the late William Ngatia. Uncle of Fiona Njambi Mwathi, the late Vanessa Wangui Mwathi, Irene Mwathi Miheso & Collins Miheso, Joshua Mwathi, Sylvia Njambi Mwathi Bundi & David Bundi, Gina Ouattara Koech & Richard Koech, Njambi Ouattara, Patrick Ouattara, Mark Kimathi Ndethiu & Christine Kimathi, Rosemary Chinene, and Nelly Chisom. Nephew, uncle and cousin of many.

Family and friends will be holding prayers in Lavington from Monday 28th October to Wednesday 30 October from 6-7:30pm.

The funeral will be held on Thursday 31st October 2019. The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 9am and burial service will be held at Langata Cemetery starting at 11am.
