Husband to the Late Mama Grace Oluoch (Nyamusa). Father of the Late Ruth, Dorothy Jairo, Late Herine Akinyi, Jane Kinda, Chris Omondi, Late Peter Ochieng, Late Walter Odhiambo, Pastor Tom Auma,Tabitha Akoth, Late Dorcas Odawo And Meshack Owira. Son of the Late Padre Eliakim Apunda and Mama Penina Kasesa and Esther Orwa. Brother of Monica Nyakinda, Samuel Nyakwaka and Lilian Ariko (USA), Musa Ondiek, Deborah Abayo, Mary Omach, Daniel Ayoo, Ambrose Awuoro and Eli Apunda (all Deceased). Cousin of Noah Ochieng, Barack Dinda Jakanyakwaka, Edward Awuonda And Tom Ayim among others.
Brother-In-Law of Agneta Nyawile, Grace Nyakwaka, Jesica Oyugi, Olga Dinda Among Others. Brother-In-Law of Nehemiah Okelo, Joseph Oyucho, Jauga Hezron (all Deceased). Father -In-Law of David Kisekeli, Japheth Jairo, Late Hesbon Kinda and Micheal Odawo. Daughter-In-Laws are Flora Babrie, Late Jael Atieno, Anne Ogalo, Betty Akinyi and Grace Meshack. He is Survived By 31 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.
The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on 12/7/19 for church service at ACK Masogo A. Burial at his homestead in Masogo Village, Kombura, Nyando on 13/7/19.

Baba I have not come to terms with your absence and I never will. The love you had for us your children is painfully missed. We are now total orphans after the Lord called you home to join our mum who was you darling Grace- NyarMusa. I’m sure you are United away from us. Please mum and dad, look down upon your grandchildren and your children and intercede for us that the Almigjty God whom you both diligently served here on earth may have mercy on and bless us. We try to carry on the legacy you both left behind. That of respect, the fear of God and love for our neighbours. I still cry whenever I go to Masogo and sweep your graves, I hope you feel my presence.my sincere love for you dad and mum is indisputable. I’m blessed to be called your daughter. Always proud of you. Dance with the Angel’s ‘ wuon Apunda, Babana, Mwalimu Charlie’ . I loved you in life and in death. Shine in heaven till we meet at Jesus feet. Shalom, Shalom.
