Japuonj Shem Okombo Anyange

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved father Japuonj Shem Okombo Anyange who passed away on 13th March 2024 after a long illness.

He was the second born of the late Enos Nyanja Anyange and Prisca Orimba of Kamser Alego, Rachuonyo North, Homa Bay County.

He is survived by his spouse Mama Hellen Aoko Okombo. Father of Kennedy Okombo, Japuonj Thomas Okombo, Dr Florence Okombo USA, Hon Polycarp Okombo CECM Homa Bay, Silas Okombo, Enos Okombo USA, Lilian Okombo USA, David Okombo Kemsa and the late Sylvia Okombo,

Father-in-law of Monica, Zilpa, Caroline, Grace, Eliza, Diana and Kyalo.

Grandfather of Nelson (CDF), Brian (USA), Shem (Gretsa University), Hellen (Daystar University), Jane (JKUAT University), Henry, Stephanie, King, Liam, Darnell, Cynthia, Deborah, Antonella, Esther, Sandra Grace, Naamah, Natasha, Daniella, Jayden, Yadah, Zareen, Zayra, Luis, Nelson, Jaime and Rosa.

He was the Elder brother of Henry Ouma, Grace Ochieng, Joshua Obell, Anne Ogalo, the late Penina Okelo, Deborah Onyuka, Margaret Kobilo and Sylvia Mucha.

Cousin of Solomon Nyagol and Gerishon Nyabwa.

The cortege leaves Gendia Mission Hospital Mortuary on 28 March 2024 for a night vigil. The funeral service will take place on 29th March 2024 at Alego Primary School. He will be laid to rest at his home after the service.
