With gratitude and appreciation to the Almighty God, we the family of Gideon K Mwobobia announce the transition of our beloved mum, grandma , great grandma and mentor, Mrs Jennifer Nkirote Mwobobia on the morning of 7th May 2019.

Beloved wife of the late G.K Mwobobia. Adored mother to Lucy and Mogens (Denmark), RuthJoy and James (Kitale) Makena (ActionAid Kenya) and Dr. Muthuri (Meru), Gitobu and Janerose (Jeniko Mall), Mutuma and late Mukiri (Afya Milk Isiolo) and the late JohnKen. Darling grandma to Sarah, David, Sharon, Isaac, Grace and Peter, Dr Nturibi and Charity, Mwongera and Sheila, Pauline and Nick, Pamela, Koome, Nkirote, Mutwiri, Doris,Valerie and Vanessa. Great-grandma to Willie, Livia, Mutugi, Nkatha, Kiende, Makena, Joshua, Ishmael and Mutuma.

Daughter of the late Ibrahim M’Inoti and late Mariam Karai. Daughter-in-law to late Ibrahim M’Murungi and late Sarah Karai. Sister of the late Stella and late Japheth Muriuki, Zipporah and Fredrick Karani, Tabitha and late Isaiah Kimainu, Rose and Prof Japhet Magambo, Ayub and Harriet Kirimi, Murithi and late Karim Isaiah and Rosemary Kinyua, Florence and Prof Jotham Micheni,  Gitonga and Carol and Jennifer and Rev Steven Kinoti. Sister-in-law to John and Marion Kirimi, Jeremiah and Esther Murithi, Late Harriet and George Murungi, Jacob and Janice Mwirigi, Eng. Erastus and Eunice Mwongera, Alice and Charles Mitine, late Esther and late Musa Ngaru, late Daniel and late Karimi Gitonga, and Nkirote and Rutere. Auntie Super and mentor to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her residence in Mwanika, Kithoka, Meru County starting from 5pm and Dam Estate Hse 83 (Makena Mwobobia Muthuri’s Residence Nairobi) for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday, 14th May 2019 at 9:00am for a funeral service at CK Mwanika — Kithoka and thereafter interment at her Kithoka home.
