Job Mogambi Machogu

It is with profound humility and the acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Job Mogambi Machogu, which occurred on February 4, 2026.

Job was the beloved son of the late Reuben Machogu and Mary Machogu. He was step-son of Jane Kemunto Machogu. Son-in-law of Ibrahim Tenge and Judith Wanambuko.

He was the devoted husband of Lillian Nasimiyu Tenge and a loving father of Derrian Machogu Mogambi and Jimmy Machogu.

He was the cherished grandson of the late Caleb Mogire Omani, the late Truphena Mogire, Joyce Wangui Kamuya, Peter Ongarora, Thomas Okworo, the late Truphena, Bathsheba, Kezia, Rodha, Margaret, Manuari, Ratemo, and others.

Brother-in-law of Oscar, Suzzie, Tracy.

He was the brother of Peninah Nyakara Machogu and the late Jimmy Ngarua Machogu. Step-brother of Dennis, Luiza, Bilha and Vincent.

He was the nephew of Henry, Ruth, Rhoda, Beth, Kamuya, late Karimi, the late Machini, late Moranga, late Samson, Henry, Prof. David Ongarora of Maseno University, Dr. Denis Ongarora, Dr. Benson of Dedan Kimathi University, Dr. Hezekiel Gira of Mt Kenya University, Charles, Elijah, Benard, Richard, George, Samson of the University of Nairobi, Mosoti of KBC, Walter, Truphosa, Zipporah, Hellen, Emily, Sabina, Gesare, Janet, Lillian Asuma, Ruth, Jerusha, Phylis, and others. Uncle and cousin of many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and burial arrangements in Gilgil, Kapsabet, and Geteri Village.

The cortege will depart from Samaritan Funeral Home in Kapsabet, Nandi County, at 9:00 AM. The procession will head toward the Showground, opposite Pioneer PCEA Church and near Nobel Academy. The funeral service will be held at his parent’s home in Kapsabet town with the burial to follow thereafter on the same grounds.

Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory at no one can steal.

Job, in God’s hands you rest, and in our hearts you remain forever. Rest in peace.
