John Julius Ouma Odero

Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), wishes to announce the untimely death of John Julius Ouma Odero, which occurred on the 25th September, 2021. At the time of his demise he was a Botany Laboratory Technician in the School of Biological, Physical, Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences. He hailed from Kopiyo Village, Kokwanyo East Sub-location, Kokwanyo Location, Rachuonyo East Sub-county, Homa Bay County.

Son of Jeremia Odero Ochola Nyandiko and Plista Gone Jeremia. Husband of Mable Keya Ouma. Father of Michael Innocent Otieno, Gabriel Ochola, Anjela Assumpta and Marrion Noel Atieno. Brother of Evans Obonyo, the late Charles Juma, Domnic Odero, Slyvester Ochola, the late Gabriel Ochola, Ass. Chief Peter Odero, Octave Odhiambo and Isack Ochieng, Lucia Aoko Owiti, Mary Adhiambo, Maurine Achieng and Rose Akoth Owano.

Cousin of Peter Atieno, Marcus Ochola, John Owuor, John Juma, Kapere Ndege and Oyoo Obiero. Nephew of the late Opiyo Ochola, Leonard Atieno, Tobias Ochola, Fredrick Ndege and Mourice Obiero. Brother-in-law of Florence Obonyo, Josphine Atieno, Serphine Achieng, the late Benta Anyango, Molly Atieno, Caroline Ochola and Caroline Odhiambo.

Uncle of Joseph Obonyo, Kevin Odhiambo, Sharon Awuor, Felix Odhiambo and Molly Ochola. Brother-in-law of Michael Owiti io.i. Nyasoro. Son-in-law of Miriam Awinja and Caleb Anjili.

The cortege will leave Bondo Sub-county Mortuary on Thursday 14th October, 2021, for requiem mass at JOOUST Sacred Heart Chaplaincy and later to Matata Mortuary, Oyugis, Homa Bay County.

Burial will be on Friday 15th October, 2021 in Kakelo Omiro, Kakelo Kamroth Sub-location, Kakelo cation, Rachuonyo East Sub-county, under Anding’o Catholic Church Parish Priest.
