John Kamau Maina

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the call to glory on Thursday, 4 July 2019 of Mr. John Kamau Maina, formerly of Cadbury Schweppes and Tru Foods Ltd.

Devoted husband of Emily Kanyua Maina. Loving father of Esta Wanja, Nicholas Maina, Kevin Kinyua and Arnold Gitata. Father-in-law of Magdalina Wangari & Rumbidzai Sithole. Doting grandfather of Alvin Kamau, Tshazi Kamau, Kennedy Maina and Emily Maina.

Son of the late Simon Gachanja Kangoro and the late Eunice Waithera Gachanja and son-in-law of the late John M’Naivasha Mbogori & Esher Mbiro. Loving brother of the late Miriam Waihato & Isaac Gitata. Brother-in-law of the late Mbae, the late Micheni, the late Kibaara, Mwandiki, Njagi, Mercy, Margaret & Rose.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Njabini, South-Kinangop. There will be a prayer meeting on Monday, 8 July at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from 4-6pm.

The cortege will leave North Kinangop Hospital on Wednesday 10th July for a funeral service and burial at their home in Njabini, South Kinangop at 10.30am.
