Mabel Margaret Ongecha Odera

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Mabel Margaret Ongecha Odera after a brave battle with ovarian cancer.

Daughter of the late Isaiah Etemo Muchilwa and Phoebe Muchilwa. Wife of the late Nehemiah Odera, of Ebuhando village, Vihiga County. Sister of the late Niva Asila, the late Samuel Liselo, the late Rachael Anaminyi, the late Besi Abwanzo, the late Rebecca Anjeho, Twyla Rose Otolo, and the late Hon. Sheldon Muchilwa. Sister-in-law of the late Meridinah, Florah, the late Jesca, the late June, the late Mukhwana, Rebecca, Andare, the late Nyakoha, Obuyi, Ondelo, Muhando among others. Mother of Booker Webi, Jael Indimuli, Franklin Odera, the late Gerald Obudo and Verah Odera (BRS) Aunt of the Asilas, Anjehos, Otolos, Abwanzos, Otienos, Mabwas, Mukhwanas, Ochondos, Ochiengs, Makayas, Olinjos, and Muchilwas. Mother-in-law of Reardon, David, Naomi, Hellen, and Leunora. Grandmother of Brian, Baddy, Phoebe, Vicky, Hilda, Twyla, Agnes, Maggy, Loice, Mabel, Divina, Omurambi, Collines, Isaiah, Eric, Linda, Oywaya, Valerie, Joash, Niva, Bella, Diana and Gabriel. She leaves behind 20 great grandchildren.

There will be a fundraiser to offset hospital bills and funeral expenses on Tuesday 9/7/2019 at Cardinal Otunga Plaza St. Faustina Hall from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home for a short service at Kaloleni Church of God on Thursday 11/7/2019 from 8 – 10 am and thereafter proceed to her rural home in Ebuhando village, Vihiga County.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday 13/7/2019.
