John Karanja Kahia

 4.07.1960 – 20.05.2021

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden death of John Karanja Kahia (formerly of N.C.C).

He was the son of the late Peter Gabriel Kahia and Elizabeth Wanjiru. Husband to the late Apophia Waceke Karanja. Son-in-law to the late Muhia Gichanga and Gladys Wagikuyu. Father of Lydia Nyandia, Azarius Kahia, David Muhia and Andrew Maina. Father-In-law to Joan Kahia and Corinne Isige Muhia. Grandfather to three, Uncle to many and a friend to many more.

Brother to Hannah Kamau, Lucy Magelo, Mary Kahia, Margaret Itotia and Jane Mutisya. Brother-in-law to Joyce Mburu, Jane Muhia, Jerusha Kogi, Rachael Karanja, the late Brig. (rtd) Evans Muhia, the late Joseph Kamau, the late Alex Sanaika Ole Magelo, the late David Itotia and Ken Mutisya.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 27th May 2021 at 7.00am. He will be laid to rest at the family home in Rung’uri village, Lari Sub-county, Kiambu County on Thursday, 27th May 2021.

The family will host meetings for funeral arrangements and contributions at All Saints Cathedral from Monday 24th May 2021 to Wednesday 26th May 2021 as from 5.00 pm. Support and contributions can be channelled to 0741-747414
