JOHN KIMANI GACHATHI

We are sad to announce the death of John Kimani Gachathi which occurred on Sunday, 14th July 2019 due to a long illness courageously borne.

He was son of the late Peter Joseph Gachathi and the late Beatrice Wanjiku Gachathi. Former husband and very good friend of Wamaitha Muthumu. Beloved father of Diana Wanjiku Kimani and Dennis Wambugu (USA). Stepfather of Bryan Muthumu & Jacinta Muringi, and grandfather to the late Chloe Wamaitha and Jordan Muhia. Brother to Winifred Nyambura Karugu, the late Rosemary Wambui Gachathi, Rachel Waiihera Ngari & Rev. Ngari Kariithi and Samuel Mirie Gachathi. Popular uncle, cousin and friend to many.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 19th July 2019 at 9am followed by a funeral service at St. John’s ACK Church Kiambaa at 11am. The burial will be held thereafter at the family home in Kimuga, Kiambaa.
