John Muriithi Githinji

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we regretfully announce the passing on of John Muriithi Githinji which occurred on the 13th day of July 2019 at South B Hospital in Nairobi.

First-born son of the late Anastasio Githinji and Lilian Wamboga Githinji. He was a brother of Samwel, Jack, Mathew, Gabriel, Esther, Elias, Priscilla, Sicily, the late Martin, and Maggy. Husband of Janet Wanjiru Muriithi a teacher at Mihang’o Primary School, Nairobi. Father of Bridget Karimi, Kevin Munene and Mike Gitonga; father-in-law of Reuel Warungu Nderitu; grandfather of Trevor Nderitu Warungu.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Kibiku, Utawala from 6:00 p.m, Umoja Estate and at his rural home in Karumandi, Kamugunda Village, Kirinyaga County.

A fundraising drive to offset a medical bill will be held at his Kibiku home on Thursday, 18 July 2019 starting 6:30 p.m.

The late John Muriithi will be laid to rest on Saturday, 20th of July 2019 Karumandi, Kamugunda Village. Cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home at 7.30a.m. before proceeding to Kibugi Funeral Home. There will be a Holy Mass at home Kamugunda Village from 11.00a.m. followed by burial at the same place.
