A year has gone by since we said goodbye, and we miss you dearly. You touched our lives and the lives of many in very special ways and are fondly remembered by your family, your dearest Mother, Maria Taaka Lwande, your loving Wife, Pamela, and your Children, Taaka, Weremba, Obu and Neema. Our appreciation for a Son, a Husband and a Father’s greatness cannot be measured. You were our gentle giant and the moments we shared will always bring smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts.

The Lwande Family thanks all family members, friends and colleagues for the emotional, spiritual and material support received during John’s illness and last rites. We especially would like to thank John’s employer ACCION International, previous employers and members of various Boards that he served, groups of friends – led by the MMs and AVI, St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church Karen Community and St. Joseph Catholic Church Ganjala Community, for supporting us. God bless you for your love and kindness.
