Adv. John Okundi Omwoyo

It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the passing away of Adv. John Okundi Omwoyo. An advocate of the High Court of Kenya (Okundi Omwoyo & Co.Advocates) and a former employee Ministry of Labour (Nyayo House).

Loving husband of Sarah Njuhi Mwenda, Chief Land Registrar, Min. of Lands & Physical Planning. Son of the late Charles Omwoyo and the late Mokeira Omwoyo. Son-in-law of the late John Macharia Mwenda and the late Ruth Nyakiri Mwenda. Father of Mary Nyambeki (Advocate), George Abusa (Pondicherry University India), Hedwig Macharia (USIU) & Fiona Nyakiri (Monash University Australia).

Brother of the late Florence Onuonga, the late Sammy Ochwel, the late Abel Moranga, Nancy Ombati, Eng. Kennedy Omwoyo (Min Of Labour) & Joyce Getugi (USA). Brother-in-law of David Mwenda, the late Theodora Wanja, the late Sammy Waweru, Margaret Njoki, Steve Mwenda, the late Peter Muiruri, Ida Mwenda (NSSF), Emmanuel Macharia (WaterFund), Michael Mutonga, Mecha Onuonga, Andrew Ombati, Pastor Boniface Getugi (USA), Christine Nyanchama.

A father-in-law of Cleophas Nyanyuki Machengo (Law Society of Kenya). A grandfather of Nailah Elanah Gesare Machengo. Uncle, cousin and nephew to many.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) Mortuary on Monday 3rd May at 8.00am followed by a funeral service and burial at his farm in Kibiko B (Emanyatta) Sub-location, Kibiko Location, Ngong Division, Kajlado County. Please Note: COVID 19 protocols will be strictly adhered to.
