Jonathan Kipkemoi Cheruiyot

1942-2018

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Mr Jonathan Kipkemoi Cheruiyot of Cheribo Village (Kalacha), Chebwagan Ward, Bureti Division Kericho County. A long serving retired teacher.

The second born son of the late Mr. Kiprere Chekelyek and Taplule Chekelyek (Obot Esther). Brother to the late Philip Cheruiyot, Sarah Langat, Esther Rotich (Nandi), late Joel Cheruiyot, the late Elizabeth Rotich and Harry Cheruiyot. Beloved husband of the late Mrs Sarah Cheruiyot also a teacher. Dear Father to Linner Chebii Langat (O.L.M South B), Beatrice Cherono Koech (Kaminjeiwa), Alfred Langat (Telkom Kenya), Vivian Chebet, Winny Nyolei, Nicholas Langat (World Vision Kenya) and Michelle Mamji Chepngetich. Father-in-law to Sammy Langat (Immigration), Leonard Koech (Mombwo), Beatrice Langat (Thomas Banardos ), Joseph Nyolei (Kisii), Risper Langat (Karen). Brother-in-law to Nancy Cheruiyot, Elijah Langat, the late Daniel Rotich, Esther Cheruiyot, Wesley Rotich and Bornice Cheruiyot. Cousin to many and was blessed with 18 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Nairobi club Upper Hill as from 5 pm and at his home Kalacha Village.

A fundraising will be held on Wednesday 12th September at Professional Centre Parliament Road Nairobi from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Friday 14th September 2018 at 7am for prayers at home as from 2pm and overnight stay.

Funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday 15th September 2018 at his home Kalacha Village, Bureti Sub County, Kericho County starting from 10am.

In God’s hand you rest and in our hearts you live forever. You were a true inspiration in our lives Dad.
