It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that announce the passing to glory of Mr. Jonathan Mutisya Gichure of Knoxville Tennessee, USA, which occurred on 8th November, 2020.
Son of Bishop. Geoffrey Ndungu Gichure (Bishop AIC Central Area Church) and Mrs. Mary Gathoni Gichure. Beloved husband of Mrs. Tabitha Wanjiru Githeng’u and father of Dylan Ndungu Gichure. Brother of David Njoroge Gichure and John Koigi Gichure both of Naivasha. Son-in-law of Mr. Cyrus Githeng’u and Mrs. Serah Githeng’u. In-law of Attamay Githeng’u, Susan Githeng’u, Maggie Githeng’u, Beth Mary Githeng’u, Sally Njenga, Wilson Kariuki, Jason Githeng’u and Emily Wambui. Uncle of Jay, Arianna, Jayden, Sophie, JR and Nathan.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at the family residence at Lakeview Estate, Naivasha.
The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on Monday 23rd November, 2020 at 6:30arn for funeral service at Nyorijoro Secondary School ground at 10.00 am and thereafter burial at the family farm near Karati, Naivasha on your way to NYS training institute.

I received the shocking news of a son to a mentor Bishop Geoffrey Gichure with sadness. The loss of a son is painful, however we are comforted by the fact that Jonathan is in a better place. It is well with our souls.
My sincere condolences to the entire family of our spiritual father. May you be comforted during this sad season of your life. Let the grace of God be supplied sufficiently as you bear the loss.
