Jonathan Okoth Wasiar

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the untimely, demise of Jonathan Okoth Wasiar on 13th December 2019 after a long illness bravely borne.

Son of Jason Wasiar Oloo(d) & Agnes Oluho(d). Beloved husband of Anne Tsisiche Okoth. Son-in-law of Wycliffe Omucheni(d) & Floice Andati. Father of Meshack Wasiar, Ruth Anyango, Samuel Onyango, Flora Achieng,Wycliffe Omucheni and Joshua Oloo. Grandfather of Andre, Rodney,Yanni, Jason, Ezekiel and Rieko. Brother of Joshua Oloo(d), Priscilla Apondi, Grace Ng’ong’a, Gideon Oyule and Miriam Onyango. Brother in law of Zeruiya Oloo(d), Hannington Obuya(d), Joseph Ng’ong’a(d), Eunice Oyule, Elly Onyango(d), Habil(d) & Sella Amuhoyi, Walter(d) & Alice Manyasa, Alfred & Janet Lubanga, Abuid(d) & Jane Matendechere. Francis & Prisca Welle, David & Timinah Omweno, Harrison(d) & Evelyne Ngala. Father-in-law of Margaret Josiah, Chris Nyakora and Hellen Mulonga. Uncle of the Oloos, Obuyas, Ng’ong’as, Oyules, Onyangos, Amuhoyis, Manyasas, Lubangas, Matendecheres, Welles, Omwenos and Ngalas. Cousin and friend of many.

Family and Friends continue to meet daily at his home in Musanda. A virtual fundraiser will be held on Friday 20th December 2019 from 3 – 6 pm. Contributions can be sent to MPESA paybill JONATHAN WASIAR FUNERAL FUND business number 316746 account (name of sender).

The cortege leaves St. Mary’s Hospital Mortuary, Mumias on Friday 27th December 2019 for a memorial service at St. Paul’s ACK Church Musanda and thereafter proceed to his home for an overnight stay.

The burial will be held on Saturday 28th December 2019 at his home in Usiu village, Musanda, Kakamega County.

Dad, you were a pillar of hope and an inspiration to many. Forever in our hearts. Blessed are they who die in the Lord.
