It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joseph Kihanya Gichung’wa of Giathieko, Githunguri_

Son of the late John Gichung’wa and the late Hannah Njoki. Dear husband of Hannah Wanja Kihanya. Loving father of Rose Njoki (Ivory Coast), the late John Gichung’wa, the late Stephen Njoroge, Jane Wanjiru and George Mutua (Minnesota), Francis Kangethe Kihanya (Manyatta) and Ruth Kang’ethe, Patrick Kamanda and Janet Massite Kamanda (San Francisco), Wambui and Nathaniel Cogley (Texas) and Josephat Thungu. Brother of the late Francis Kang’ethe Gichung’wa and Josephat Thungu Gichung’wa.

Brother-in-law of the late Catherine Gichungwa and Mary Kang’ethe (Ridgeways), the late Harry Kasnanda, the late Mary Nyamberia Chege, the late Eddah Wanjiku, the late Peter Kinuthia, Susan Wambui, the late James Njino, Ruth Muthecha, Grace Wanjira Kamau Kanyi, Madeline Mugure and George Kamau. Grandfather of Barbara Wanja. Brian Kisini & Shiku Mutua, Joseph Kihanya, Anne Wanja & Angela Shiku Kangethe, Grace, Olivia & Diana Kamanda and Quett, Quintin & Chloe Cogley.

Prayers and meetings are being held today Friday 4th, Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Ridgeways, Kiambu Road and daily at his Gakoe home.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University funeral home on Friday, October 11th 2019 at 8am for funeral mass at 11am at Holy Family Catholic Church, Giathieko and thereafter the burial at home in Gakoe.
