Joseph Mbochi Wandati

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we acknowledge the death of Joseph Mbochi Wandati. He was a former body guard of the first president of the Republic of Kenya, the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

Son of the late Waridati Kabue and the late Mumbi Wandati. Beloved husband of the late Sarah Mumbi and Grace Wangari. Father of Mary Wanja Njoroge, Lucy Wangari (KEBS), John Wandati, Teresiah Njeri, Virginia Wanjiku, Keziah Mumbi, Mary Wamaitha Mwaura (Co-op bank), James Wandati, Hellen Njeri Ndumia and Peter Njoroge. Brother of the late Wanjeri wa Kibiru, Henry Kabue, Mary Gachaki, Grace Njoki, Richard Kagia, Joseph Nyaga. Step brother of Wanjira Kamumbu and the late Wanjeri wa Githunguri, Evans Kabue, Mary Waithira, Gachaki Njoka and Wanjiru Kimamui. Father in law of Njoroge Kimotho, Jecinta Waitherero, Dr Elijah Mwaura, Lucy Nyaguthie, Robert Ndumia and Angella Muthoni. Grandfather and Great Grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Savannah Club Rironi from 2 pm and at his home Igwa Miti village Nyahururu from 4pm.

The cortege leaves Nyahururu general hospital mortuary on Friday 04.10.2019 at 9am. Funeral and burial service will follow at his farm Igwa Miti starting at 11am.
