It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Joseph Matui Olinyo, after a long battle with cancer bravely borne. Joseph passed away on Saturday, 27th January 2018, at the MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.

Husband of Nolega Chepkernei Kiboi. Father of Larry Kimtai, Linda Chebet and Emmanuel Kiprop. Son of the late Timona Olinyo and Fridah Kisa Chemoria of Kimobo sub-location Mt. Elgon Sub-County. Brother of Felista Chepkarat, Fred Kesis, Alice Tawaran, Jane Chcmatui, Brenda Chebet and Annet Chemtai. Brother-in-law of Daniel Chebor, Peter Ndiema, Gladys Kapkarich, Joshua Ndiwa, the late John Ruto, Jarrtes Ndiwa, Mark Kiboi, Job Sabsabi, Bernard Kisa, Fred Naibei, Livingston Chesholei, Amos Kipkorir and Christine Cherotich.

At the time of his demise, Joseph was a staff at TradeMark East Africa and previously worked for Telkom (KPTC) Kenya.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his residence in Tena Estate and at Tumaini house from 6pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraiser at Tumaini house on Wednesday 31st January at 6pm.

A memorial service will be held at Urnash Funeral Home on Thursday 1st February 2018 at 3pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Friday 2nd February, 2018 at Gam for funeral service and burial at his home in Kipkama Village, Kimobo Sub-location, Mt. Elgon Sub-county on Saturday 3rd February 2018.
