At 68 years, you left us sooner than we expected. Yet with the passage of time we have come to terms with your physical absence in our lives but in our hearts and minds your presence will never fade away. We thank the Almighty God for his divine guidance as we make our best efforts to live up to your legacy and values as a husband, father, friend and patriotic citizen of Kenya.

No major decision on private or public matters is made in our family without reflection on the choice or position you would have taken. We feel sad that so many of your grandchildren did not have the privilege to meet you but they know of the fond memories of you that we treasure.

Lovingly remembered by your beloved widow and family matriarch Agnes Waithera Mungai and your children Francis Guchu, Joyce Gathoni, Kibe Mungai, Judy Kibe, Peter Njoroge, Daniel Mburu, Dorcas Njoki and many Grandchildren, Extended Family and Friends;

Friends and relatives will meet for a memorial service in Nakuru on a day to be communicated later.
