Judith Achieng Olang

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Judith Achieng Olang, who departed on 27th February 2026 after a courageous battle with illness at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mzee Caleb Juma Olang and Mama Kellen Bala Olang of Kapuonja, Kisumu. She was a daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Gordon William Oluoch, the late Mama Francisca Aluoch, and Celine Aluoch.

Judith was the beloved partner of the late Simon Peter Otieno, with whom they were blessed with two children: Philip Aluoch Otieno and Michael Jerome Ochieng.

She was a loving sister of Austin, Javan, Nancy, Lilian, Collins, and Bernard, sister-in-law of Nelson Obura, and dearly loved by Beatrice Owili. Judy was a cherished aunt of Tedder, Tevin, Luis. Leon, Daniel,Vilina, Elvis, Erica, Shirleen, Morelle, Nestar, Kyle, and Amanda Gabriella. She was also sister-in-law of Mauryne, Catherine lmbaya the late Carolyne, and Nelly, and cousin of Brenda, Dorcas, Pamela, Philip, Paul, Lorna, Paul, and Isaac.

Judith will be fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit that touched many lives.

The cortege will leave Aga Khan Mortuary, Kisumu on 26th March 2026, for prayers at Shaurimoyo ACK Church. The burial will take place on 27th March 2026 at her home in Kobura, Kaluore, Kisumu County.

Those who believe in God will never die May her soul rest in eternal peace.
