Julius Okumu Makokha

It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Julius Okumu Makokha who passed away after a fatal road accident along Bungoma- Webuye highway on 1st June 2019. Until his demise, Julius worked with LVCT Health as a Pharmaceutical coordinator in Western region. He formerly worked with FHI Gold Star and KEMRI-Faces Kisumu.

Son of retired teachers Mr. Ben Makokha and Rosemary Nekesa Makokha. Son-in-law to Peter Matebwa and Mary Matebwa. Loving husband of Grace Matebwa. Devoted father of Goodwill Gil, Reward Gilom and Ryan Jabali. Brother to Isabellah (Matunda Secondary), Alex (CHS Nairobi), Mark (KMTC Nyeri), Chrispinus (Gita SCH Kisumu), Janet (Magemo FYM), Sarah (Malaha secondary) and Alfred (Bungoma Assembly). Brother-in-law of Eric (Pastor NPK Nakuru), Ruth (Formerly Oasis Doctors Plaza Kisumu), Joyce (business lady), Abigael (Mechimeru HC), Terry (Bungoma CRH), Elizabeth (Formerly Lumakanda SCH) and Tinnah (Kagwa Dispensary Siaya).

The cortege will depart from Lugulu Mission Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 6th June 2019 for a night vigil at his home in Kanduyi Bungoma.

The body will be moved to Malaha home where he will be laid to Rest on Saturday 8th June 2019.

Julius will be dearly missed by his family and LVCT Health.
