It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of KDF Senior Sergeant Joseph Wachira Minja that occurred on Sunday 27th November 2016 at Memorial Defence Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Senior Sergeant Joseph Wachira Minja was a Kenya Defence Forces Officer, deployed at DOD. Beloved son of late Rev. Canon Jason Minja and late Julia Muthoni Minja and Cecily Muthoni Minja. Husband of the late Jane Waithira, Father of Julia Wambui and John Mwai, Dennis Mwangi and Peggy Nyawira. Brother of Diana Wambui, Joyce Nyawira, Phoebe Wanjiru and Philip Mwai. Brother-in-Law of Muchiri J.N., John Wanyoike, Duncan Muriuki and Jane Wanjiku. Cousin of late Wachira Kihara, late Wachira Ndigirigi, Wachira Chege, Wachira Wamithi,Wachira Gakungu, Humphrey Wamithi and many others. Uncle of Njoroge Muchiri, Mwangi Muchiri, Julie Wanyoike, Lilian Wanyoike, Mwangi Muriuki, Ken Muriuki, Nyaga Muriuki, Eric Muriuki, Nicho Muriuki, Julie Mwai and Mwangi Mwai. Son-in-law of Mr & Mrs Ngari.
The cortege leaves Memorial Defense Forces Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday, 7th December 2016 at 9am for a funeral and burial service at his ancestral home at Kandongu Village in Kirinyaga County.
