Kenneth Kaunda Opande

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the sudden demise of Kenneth Kaunda Opande, formerly the Chairman of KANU, Kisumu Branch and the CEO of KENGIL Agencies, which occurred on 13th August, 2019.

Son of the late Mzee Johnson Samson Opande and Alseba Opande. Step-son of Beatrice Opande. Loving husband of the late Mary Aluoch Oduk and the late Gladys Ohonde. Loving father of Esther Aqueeno, Anita, Leon Opande and the late Maureen Auma. Loving brother of Rosemary Opande (Chair KNUT, Nyando Branch), Frank Opande (Nyahuriaden), Dorice of Nyahera, Fred Opande (Kisumu Polytechnic), Matthews Opande (KICC), Solomon Opande (USA), the late Dan Opande, Monica Opande (Mombasa), Steve Opande (KDF) John Opande, Peter Opande, Esther Opande (KMTC) and Lilian Opande and Benter Opande (CEO, KEWOTA). Nephew of Washington Mboya, Helen Mboya and the late Nereah Ojwang.

Son-in-law of Major Ohonde. Brother-in-law of Nancy Ochieng, Jane, Pollyanna, Marine, Martha Nyanducha, Phyllis Brown and others. Loving cousin of Ruth, Shadrack, James, Shern, Enos, Barrack, Anne, Elisabeth and Joan. Loving uncle of Dan, Samantha, Solo, James, Judy, Lydia, Ben, Winny, Alseba Elvis, John, Elsy, Shabin, Obama, Dickens, Terryl, Darrens, Tiffany Dibal,Villers, Ned, Collins, Elibeth, Judith and others. Grandfather of Maya, Crown and Kyle.

Friends and relatives are meeting in Nairobi and at the village home in Thurbie.

There shall be a fundraising to offset the hospital bill and burial expenses on Friday 30/08/2019 at Public Service Club Nairobi and Kisumu Respectively.

The burial will be held on 07/09/2019, at Kamswa, Thurbie Village, Awasi in Nyangoma Location, Muhoroni Sub-county.
