We regret to announce the promotion to glory of sister in Christ Keziah Njeri Riitho or Wamurigi of Marenga road Kangemi, Nairobi. Daughter of the late Riitho Mahira (casually known as Jambo) and his second wife late Waithera Riitho. Mother of Margret Waithera Mbugua; James Mahira, Jane Muthoni Wainaina or Naana, Jane Njuhi Riitho, Peter Thande, Gladys Njoki, and the late David Riitho or Murigi, late Newton Ndung’u and the late George Waweru. Mother-in-law of Rose Wanjiru Ndung’u; Ester Wambui Mahira,Veronica Njoki Waweru and Anne Wangare Thande. Sister of the late Marion Muthoni Kamau, the late Josephine Njuhi .Muiruri and late Fredrick Thiong’o Riitho. Step sister of Dedan Mahira; George Hiiro, Peter Njenga, Eunice Muthoni Riunge, Mary Wanjiru Ngoiya and Mary Muthoni Kimani. Her other living siblings are Salome Nyanguthii, Mary Wairimu, Felishia Muthoni Gakure, Margaret Njuhi and Jane Njuhi. Sister-in-law of Mrs. Margaret VVangari Thiong’o. Her other siblings who are deceased were, Horsewell Mahira; Danson Gitau, James Nganga, Josephine Wambui Kariba, Virginia Gathoni Kariuki among many others. Aunt, grandmother and great grandmother of many.The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Friday, 2/6/2017 at 9.00 am for the funeral service to be hosted at the St John Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), Kangemi from 10.00 am. The funeral will follow thereafter at the Langata Cemetry at 2.00 pm. Family members, friends and relatives are meeting at her home along Marenga road, Kangemi daily for prayers and funeral arrangement from 5.00 pm.
