it is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing on to glory of our matriarch Dada, Lay Reader Mama Rael Atsieno Wanga who passed away on 28 August 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Lay Canon William James Wanga.

Daughter of the late Enock Ombucha and the late Salome Makokha. Daughter-in–law of Zacharia Rakula and Elizabeth Aland° (both deceased).

Loving mother of Ben Wanga, Dr Henry Wanga Consultant Radiologist, the late John Wicks Wanga, Peninah Musikoyo, David Wanga, Dr Christopher Wanga Director Livestock Policy Research and Regulations Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Evans Wanga and Caroline Aram of Kenya Revenue Authority.

Mother-in-law of Margaret, Agnes, Hannington Musikoyo, Domtilla, Eunice, Cheruto and Jacob Nyanyuma. Grandmother to more than 35 children including; MCA Joan Wanga of Busia County Assembly.

Meetings are being held daily in Nairobi and at her home in Elugulu, Busia County.A planning meeting will be held at the All-Saints Cathedral on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 at 5.00pm.

A fundraiser to offset the burial expenses will be held at home in Elugulu village Busia County on Saturday 6th September 2025 at 2.00pm.
