Lieutenant Colonel Martin Kamau Mburu

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely demise o Lieutenant Colonel Martin Kamau Mburu of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), from Kigumo Constituency, Muranga County.

He was a cherished son of the late Cvprian Mburu and Eunice Njoki; Loving and dedicated husband of Mary Karimi and father of Jediel Njagi, Emmanuel Murimi, Mark Mwaura and Tamar Njoki.

Beloved brother of Wanjiku, Julius, the Late Patrick, Njambi, the Late Mwaura, the Late Nyanjui, Mary, Waithera, Wanyoike and Gitau.

Son-ln-Law of the Late Stephen Njeru and the Late MonicaWanja. He was a cousin, nephew, and uncle of many.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial preparations at his house in Moi Air Base – Eastleigh.

The Requiem Mass will be held at Roman Catholic Church, Moi Air Base on 6th January 2026 from 1000hrs.

The cortege will leave Mashujaa Funeral Home, Defence Forces Memorial Hospital on Wednesday 7th January 2026 for a funeral service on the same day at Mugumoini Primary  School. Interment will be held at his home in Kahiti Village, Githembe Sub-Location, Murang’a County.
