Lynnette Andeyo Lungazo Olembo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lynnette Andeyo Olembo which occurred in Nairobi on the 20th of April, 2022 after a long illness bravely borne.

Lynnette was the daughter of the late Professor Reuben James Olembo and the late Professor Norah Khadzini Olembo.

She was sister to Kenneth Shitsugane Olembo, the late Caroline Olembo-Katuramu and the late Lilian Amimo Olembo.

She was niece to the late Samuel Olung’ati Olembo, the late Evans, Christine Wakhu, Professor Ombisi and Professor Waveny Olembo, Lydia Shikumo, the late Johnstone Olembo, Dr. Sarah Olembo, Aggrey Etale Herman Olembo of North Carolina(USA), Dr. Naaman Olembo, the late Dr. Benaiah Majisu, Eddah Ngaira, the late Jemima Kaisha, Flora Ngaira, Jane Ngaira, the late Mary Ngaira, Eliud and Faith Ngaira, Enid Ngaira the late Alice Ngaira-Kityo, Pamela Mukasa, Senator Amos Wako, Lady Justice (rtd) Effie Owuor, Dr. Henry and Rosalind Chakava, Nicholas Simani, Kathleen Okatcha among many others.

She was cousin to Jerry and Patrick Wakhu, Isabel Olembo, Uduak Amimo, Ronald Olembo, Gloria Olembo, Orlando Olembo, Agnetta Akute, the late Violet Olembo, Perpetua Wanaswa, Josephine Andeyo Wakhu, Patricia Wakhu, Dorothy Shikumo-Mbuthia, Janelyn Olembo, the late Eric Olembo, Elizabeth Springman, Rupy Akoya, Ariba Olembo, Habil Olembo, Sandra Andeyo Olembo, Valerie Andeyo Mulama, Michelle Obasi, the late Joseph Ngaira, David Muchilwa, Amanda, Claire and Alan Majisu, John Kaisha, Iminza Kaisha-Waithaka, Debra and Julius Wako, Jerry Shitsugane Ngaira and the late Mbone Ngaira, Angela Ngaira-Masaviru, Diana Ngaira-Mindra, Ian Ngaira, Clara and Alessandra Mukasa, Benjamin Shitsugane Ngaira, Sharon Chakava-Banda,Andia Chakava, Yolanda Chakava-O’Regan, Paul, Christine and George Owuor Jr, Eric Ongoma and more. Treasured friend and trusted colleague, Lynnette will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 5th May, 2022 at CITAM Valley Road Nairobi from 10.30am.

Lynnette will be laid to rest on Saturday, 7th May, 2022 at her parents’ home in Wanakhale, Bunyore.
