Mama Elizabeth Moraa Mang’era

It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mama Elizabeth Moraa Mang’era, which occurred on July 9th, 2019.

Daughter of the late Robert Moguku and the late Jemimah Rabera. Loving wife of Samuel Mang’era. Loving mother of Dr. Janet Mang’era, Gladys Ongwenyi, Rosemary Mong’are, Jacqueline Sigara, Regina Nyangewono, Eric Onyiego and Moses Mang’era. Sister of Martha Obutu, Peter Oronyi, Jane Ongori, Sarah Moguku, Rhoda Momanyi, the late Fenandis Nyandoro, Edward Obaigwa, Charles Ogachi and Tom Moguku. Mother in law of Dr. Francis Odawa, Gilbert Ongwenyi, Gordon Onyimbo, Jectone Dida, and Keren Wambu.

Grandmother of Jeff, Michelle, Bertha, Gilbert Jr, Nix, Ian, Achieng, Moraa, Jack, Jectone Jr, Gareth, Gordon Jr, Ganya and Koby. Loving Auntie of many. Sister-in-law of the late Obutu, Maina, Ongori, Momanyi, Rebecca, Truphena, Grace, Rhoda, Eunice, Rosana, the late Simeka, Kimaiga, Agnes, Frida, Jane, Margaret, Nyagaka, Ezekiah, Paulo.

Family and friends continue to meet at the Nelson Awori Center, Ralph Bunche rd, 3rd Floor Wing B Room B2 for funeral arrangements from 6:00pm. There will be a main fund-raiser on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 at the All Saints Cathedral, Kenyatta Avenue, opp Uhuru Park from 5:00pm.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Parlour, on Thursday July 25th, 2019 at 9:00am and proceeds for Kisii County. She will be laid to rest on Friday, July 26, 2019 at her home in Nyamage Sub-location, near Kisii University main campus, off Kisii-Kilgoris rd, Kisii County.
