Mama Grace Hagoma Okumu

The late Mzee Joram Okumu Wahanda’s family are saddened to announce the death of Mama Grace Hagoma Okumu of Bonde Sakwa Wahendhe, who passed on Tuesday 16/07/19.

Daughter of the late Senior chief Jairo Okello Anam and Louisa Awino of Imbo Kadimo Daho. Sister of the late William Okello, Francis Okello, Mirulo Okello, Oudia Okello, Risper Muku, Nerea Riako and many others, Wife of the late Mzee Joram Okumu Wahanda of Bonde Wahendhe Sakwa. Sister and co-wife of the late Mama Mariam Odera Okumu. A dear mother of Helida Onyango, Eng. Ajuong Okumu, the late Eng. Maurice Awino Okumu, Pamela Hagono, Deborah Onyango, Elisabeth Akoth and the late David Okumu. Step mother of the late Richard Ataro, the late Professor Washington Jalango Okumu, Jane Riako, Fredrick Ouko and Francis Okumu.

Mother-in-law of Deborah Okumu, Esther Awino, Jane Ataro, the late Risper Jalango, the late Liz Ouko, Margaret Wahanda, Deborah Ataro, Herenia Wahanda, the late Isaya Onyango ,Vincent Hagono and Lucas Odhiambo Osogo. Grandmother of Harriet Koyoson, Allan, Michael, Maureen, Nicholas, Ruth Oliech, Tom Chariga, Esther Odawa, Dr. George Ogweno, Eunice Muruka, Micah, Linda, Jacky, Bushmark, Brenda, Bryon, Aloo, Velma, Omondi, Achieng, Susan, Okumu Jr, Martha, Okoth, Bobby, Omondi and many others. Sister-in-law of the late Raphael Ondhe, late Edwin Adhiambo, Enos Obunga and Fridah Adhiambo among others.

Nyawana of the late Mzee Norman Kiaye and Silpa Kiaye of Nyakach Koguta, the late Jacob Wayasa and late Mikal Abonyo of Ngothe, the late Mzee Joseph Hagono Ongiare and late Mama Regina Aloo of Alego Kaugagi, Mzee James Abonyo Rasugu of Oyoma, the late Mzee Victor Osoga Odir and late Helen Osoga Odir of Kamai Kasipul Kabondo, the late Johana Tembe and the late Julia Midiwo of Imbo Goma, the late Patrick Agol and the late Zilpa Agol of Seme Kombewa.

The body is at Matagwe funeral Home, Bondo. Funeral service will be held at St. Johns Ronde ACK church on 26th July 2019. Thereafter the burial will be on 27th July 2019 at her home in Bonde Nyangoma starting at 10 am.
