We regret to announce the passing on of mama Josephine Anyango Kwedo Ouya (Nakhulo).

Wife of the late Moses Makhotsa Ouya (Abatindi) She was daughter of the late Mr. Bwire Kwedo and Mrs. Phoebe Kwedo (Nasubho). She was step-daughter of the late Namuanga, Dodo, Nabukaki, Namurisia, and Namakangala (all late). She was sister of the late Victorine Ojanji, step sister of Teidora, Akhenda, the late Barasa, Asuri, the late Atieno, Juliana, Rosemary, late Abiero, late Akhongo, Henderika, late Topeaster, late Gusinyi and late Donati.

Mother of Patrick Lumumba, Petronilla, Phoscar, Rose (baby), late Mariamu, Leonard, late Michael (Big G), and Margaret. Foster mother of Claidy and step mother of Elmanad (Maende). She was co-wife of Josephine Ouya and Consolata Taka. She was daughter in law of the late Perez Achupa, and the late Caleb Makhotsa Njite Pandolo. Sister in law of Christine, Phoebe, late Mary and Augustine. Mother in law of Regina, Ernest, Margaret, and Rosemary (Nabukaki). She was auntie, step-sister and grandmother and great grandmother of many.

The cortege will leave Holy Family Nangina Hospital Mortuary at Canadian Martyrs Nangina Parish on Friday 2nd July for a Requiem service at St. Cecilia Nangina Parish. The body will leave for a night vigil at her home in Nambototo sub-location, Khapala Village. She will be burled on Saturday 3rd July at her home.
