We regret to announce the demise of Mama Joyce Abwao Ong’wen.

Daughter of the late Mzee Abwao Ogada and Mama Marcella Okoth.

She was a loving wife of the late Mzee John Frederick Ong’wen.

Daughter-in-law of the late Mzee Simeon Ondego Okeyo and Mama Rael Aguda.

Sister of the late Walter Ogada, the late Festus Oloo, the late James Omollo, the late Alfred Ogolla, Samuel Juma, the late Eucabeth Diang’a and Monica Omollo.

Mother of Felix (KPA), Maurice, the late Tom, the late Concilia, the late Matilda, Bonface (OAG) and Victor (Kisumu Girls’).

Mother-in-law of Phyllis, Caroline, Beryne and Leah.

Sister-in-law of the late Sylvia, the late William Okeyo, the late Dickson Ochieng’, the late Asenath, Jenipher Oluoch and Flora Sombe, Rose Okeyo, Rose Ochieng’, Caleb Uyogo, John Abudho, Charles Okeyo, Rose Osika, James Omiya, Simon Geng’ among others.

Grandmother of Sheryl, Wandy, Vivian, Joy, Ashley, Marcos, Abby, Darwin, Grace. Daisy, Marie, Shirly, Castro, Val, Williams, Reuben among others.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary (Kisumu) on 3^rd March 2024 at 1.30pm for a requiem mass to be held at Nyabondo Catholic Church at 4.00pm.

Burial will take place at her home on 4^th March 2024 in Upper Nyakach Division, Koguta Location, East Koguta Sub location in Kisumu County.
