Mama Pilister Akech Okech

It is with humble acceptance of God’s Will that we announce the passing on of Mama Pilister Akech Okech, wife to the late Mzee Michael Okech Odero of Seme Kadero.

She was the last born daughter of the late Mzee Ogonda Aboge of Kisumu Kogony and the Late Mama Paskalia Kanyiko of Kisumu Kanyakwar, sister to all now late, Joseph Omedo, Pitalis Oraro, Tuju, Alex Ogola and Yier Ogonda. Co-wife to Wilfrida Anyango. Sister in law to the late Mama Sophia Awino, Late Martin Abuor Odero, Leocadia Abuor, Late Syprosa Oyola, Odindo Ogilo, Late Obonyo Justo, Late John Okuon and Robert Oliewo. Mother to Leonora Auma (Asembo), Thomas Opiyo (UK), Canut Odongo (KQ), Cornel Okech (Mwiki), Mary Nyawade, Paul Okech (Businessman), Agnes Akinyi (Ack. St Veronica ) , Norah Atieno, Moses Odero (Bamburi Cement), Dominic Nyoiro(GSU), Lucy Awino, Susan Adhiambo and Dan Omondi.

Mother in law to the Late Ochieng Achar, George Nyawade , Florence (France), Bella Akinyi (US), Nelly (NSSF), Angela, Nicholas, Virginia, Margaret, Gabriel , Olivia (Safaricom) , Janet , Faith, Judy , Stanley, Fredrick and Victor. Aunt to Elizabeth Obare (OCPD offices, Ahero), Late Rose Auma, Philip Abuor( Mumias Sugar), George Abuor (Total), Antony Abuor ( Bank of Africa), Caroline Abuor (Nairobi Christian Church), Jackline Abuor (Certified Coach), Dorothy Abuor (Safaricom) Florence Abuor (KPMG), Peter Abuor ( NCBA Bank).

Family and friends are meeting daily at House No. 30, Parkside Villa Estate in South B (opp. Winners chapel Mombasa Road).

The Funeral Service and Harambee will be held on 29th October at the All Saints Cathedral opposite Serena Hotel, Nairobi from 5pm to 8pm.

Mama will be laid to rest on the 2nd November 2019 at her rural home in Seme Kadero, Kisumu County.
