It is with profound sadness that we announce the promotion to glory of Mama Susan Awuor Oyugi which occurred on 9th May, 2019 at Pandya Memorial Hospital, Mombasa.

Beloved daughter of the late Mzee Elkanah Otieno Aloo and the late Mama Sylvia Ogola. Wife of the late Lucas Oyugi Oyombra. Co-wife of the late Mama Anjelina Oyugi. Daughter-in-law of the late Mama Maria and the late Mzee Norbetus Oyombra. Loving mother of Fred Oyugi (KPA), Lillian Oyugi, Mercy Oyugi, Norbert Oyugi, Sammy Okaka and Jeff Odongo. Sister of the late Mama Mary Anyango, Mama Edith Auma Ombima, Dorothy Amollo Oruoch, Mama Jane Tina Otieno and the late Commissioner Ben Jared Otieno. Mother-in-law of Margaret Ndenge Otieno, Caroline Omollo, Roseline Okaka, Rosemary Odongo, Peter Oluotch (UK), Col (Rtd). Fred Oyanda, Geoffrey Shimanyula and many others. Grandmother of Nickson, Natashah, Lucas, Rael, Innocent and many others. Sister-in-law of Hon. Dalmas Otieno Anyango, Vice Chair of SRC, the late James Anyango, the late Eng. Tito Ombima, late Wellington Oruoch , Josephine Otieno, the late Aloyce Oyombra, the late Maurice Oyombra, the late Peter Odhiambo and many others. Aunty of Karen Oyanda, Prisca Oluoch, Carol Shimanyula, Lucy Ombima (USA), Grace Oruko, Kevin Otieno, Joan Otieno, Sylvia Otieno and many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily in Nyali and National Housing Magongo for funeral arrangements.

There will be Mass and fundraising at Milimani Estate Nyali on Wednesday 15th May, 2019 at 6.00pm.

There will be a Requiem Mass at ACK Cathedral Mombasa on 16th May, 2019 at 12.00pm.

The cortege leaves on Friday 17th May, 2019 and will be laid to rest at her home in Nyagwela, Alego, Siaya County on Saturday, 18th May, 2019.
